Participatory methods in energy system modelling and planning – A review

چکیده
This paper presents a systematic review of participatory methods used in energy system modelling and planning. It draws on compiled database fifty-nine studies at local, regional, national level detailing analysis full systems down to sectors, modes, single technologies. The initial aim the is consolidate present this growing body literature, providing clear understanding which stakeholder groups have been engaged what link engagement with quantitative analysis. On from this, progress date democratising key decision-making processes discussed, reflecting benefits challenges approach, as well highlighting gaps within current literature. During review, two differing spatial levels subnational (cities, municipalities, or regions) scale emerged separate for A distinction between was motivation involving stakeholders. At level, researchers hoping build local capacity bring about real-world change community representatives, whereas concerned generating more impactful policy measures involved industry, policymaking, academic experts. One finding that only ten out reviewed noted some form collaboration non-academic stakeholders, moreover 36% just interaction participants. indicates lack process democratisation planning research.

Dynamic Modelling of a Compressed Air Energy Storage System in a Grid Connected Photovoltaic Plant
The use of photovoltaic (PV) cells in domestic and industrial applications has grown rapidly through the recent years. Constructing PV plants is a very smart measure to produce free electricity in large scales, especially in the countries with higher solar irradiation potential. On the other hand, compressed air energy storage (CAES) has already been proposed to be employed for energy storage a...
متن کاملA Review on Energy Storage Systems Planning in Active Distribution Networks and its Applications
With the restructuring of power systems, increase of renewable energy sources, and as networks become smarter, power systems are facing new challenges such as uncertainty in available energy resources. An appropriate solution to address these challenges are to use energy storage systems. Therefore, sizing, location, and selection of energy storage systems are important to maximize their benefit...
متن کاملCrowdsourcing Energy Data for Participatory Renewable Energy Planning and Modeling
As renewable energy is increasingly fed into regional energy networks, they face significant additional spatial and temporal load fluctuations, making a reliable energy supply more difficult. This is particularly true in the context of varying weather conditions. Thus, diverse energy data on a building or household-level are essential for sustainable renewable energy planning and modeling. Howe...
متن کاملMulticriteria Decisions in Urban Energy System Planning: A Review
Urban energy system planning (UESP) is a topic of growing concern for cities in deregulated energy markets, which plan to decrease energy demand, reduce their dependency on fossil fuels, and increase the share of renewable energy sources. UESP being a highly multisectoral and multi-actor task, multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods are frequently used in the decision processes. These me...
